GUIDE: Completing your ESS user profile

Guides
May 31, 2018July 15, 2018 By Pelega

Now that you are a registered member of Esports Scotland you can now add a lot more information to your user profile here on ESS.

We have tried to create a flexible and dynamic user profile, allowing users to add various gaming related data. We recommend completing your full user profile, which will be supported by your Player and Team profiles used throughout all ESS events.

This information is for your user profile, and is not to be confused with your Player or Team Profiles, you will create your players and teams separately, if you need help you can use this handy guide. All player and team profiles are approved manually by SEL staff, and so will not appear on your profile page immediately.

Once approved all your ESS Player/Team profile records are all carried onto your user profile automatically. So let’s get back to editing our profile pages.

When viewing your own profile page, only you will be able to see some tabs, and the specific ones we are looking for is the Edit, Change Profile Photo, Change Cover Photo tabs..

You will notice the highlighted tabs in the above image, which only appear if you are in the Edit tab of your profile page. This is where you can complete your profile with more depth and make it a lot easier for others to find you, and check your ESS gaming stats out.

After editing data on each option you must click on the save changes option at the bottom of each section you are completing, which will now make them appear on the view part of your profile page.

The other two options should be very self explanatory, Change Profile Photo, and Change Cover Image are aesthetic changes only, feel free to get creative. These are not to be confused with Player Profile Photos, or Team logos, then again, there is no reason you can’t choose to fully support and represent your esports team.
